A few months later and this tree has begun to fill in nicely. In the near future I plan to carve the top to add taper and interest. Also looking for better branch development and to define the pads. Lastly a change of pot to complete the tree. Nov 2005

To think I was actually considering destroying this tree at one point because of the insect problem. Well it has returned and is looking better than ever. I want to thicken the canopy a bit more to get a nice solid green outline. I am also playing with the idea of changing the pot, however I have always seen this tree in a round pot for some reason. Finally a decent picture of this tree. I have been trying for the longest time to get a branch to cover the scar on the upper top of the trunk. As you can see I pulled one from the top over to the left side and it hides it quite well. Sept. 2005

I am sad to report that this tree slowly died in July. I have noticed a lot in nature this year that a lot of bald cypresses were dying as well. Perhaps the hurricanes from the 2 previous years did some damage that the trees just could not recover from. However this was one of my favorites and I am very sad to lose it. July 2006

This tree has come a long way in a short time. In this picture this tree looks huge, however it is only 5 inches tall. It still needs a lot of development, but it has its overall shape and is looking very healthy. Aug. 2005
