I’ve only had this tree for about a year now, but the changed are drastic. Even without the foliage this tree has great strength and presence. Additionally this type of ficus is so easy to work with, and it perfect for bonsai because of its small leaves. A rewarding tree at any level of experience.

I have learned so much from this tree. My first carving, and very first apprach graft were performed on this little tree. Such easy material to work with, and the leave size reduces so naturally.

I have wait so long for this tree to develop. The tree was originally grafted in April 2004. Finally it will be display at this years Bonsai Societies of Florida annual convention held over Memorial Day week end. I think it has filled in enough and looks balanced and healthy and it should make a good showing. If you get a canhe stop by and take a look.

I started working on this tree in 2002, and it has improved every year. Today as I photographed it I really took a good look at it. Just a beautiful tree, with great movement and deadwood.
