This tree has come a long way in 3 years. Once the canopy fills in this spring it will really be something special. I intend to move the apex slightly to the left once it has more growth, but for now you can see the basic outline of the finished tree. Also the bottom left branch needs to extend about 4 more inches. January 2007

The tree has filled in and is full of flower buds. It still needs to develop quite a bit further but it has the basic structure. It also has become more compact and less leggy. So it is well on its way to becoming a very nice Shohin bonsai. Sept 2006

This little tree just keeps getting better. I wired down the first branch on the left and it really framed the trunk a lot better. I would have to think that by next year this tree will be ready for show. Sept 2006

This tree has come such a long way from what it looked like just 3 years ago. It has finally been carved to add some taper to the top of the tree and the branches are now in place. It will just take a few more months to thicken the foliage to complete the overall look of this tree. I plan to submit this tree for consideration for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival in 2007.
