Well what can I say? The top of this tree in the picture above was horrible. It all just needed to go. Look how much bigger the trunk looks now, and what great movement. The new leader is a thread graft from the branch coming out of the left side. By the end of this year this tree will have shape and nice branching. Mar 2007

This tree came from the closing of Splendid China Theme Park. A very impressive tree with a wonderfully thick trunk. I have defoliated the tree in hopes that it will go dormant and potted it deep in a nursery pot. Next spring should bring this tree to life and next winter it will be ready to be worked on. December 2004
